Expenses on remortgages are usually a local search fee (occasionally search insurance can be obtained - a cheaper alternative- usually saving half the cost of a search).
• Land Registry searches and copies of your title are obtained online from the Land Registry for a composite fee of £30 plus VAT.
• Land Registry registration fee is £60.00 up to £100,000.00
• On leasehold remortgages there is generally a fee payable to the Landlord's Managing Agents or Solicitors.
Remortgages can usually be processed quickly. As soon as you decide which lender you are changing to, let us know. We will then order copies of your title and request the deeds from your present lender. The transaction should not take more than 3 to 4 weeks if everything on the title and searches is in order.
